Landen is 14...14!!
14 things I love about Landen...
1. a character, especially when a camera is around
2. plays soccer with all his heart and has TONS of energy (all.the.time)
3. always gives me hugs, tells me he loves me and that I'm an awesome Mom
4. creative and imaginative--reading, crafts, models, drawings, video creations, Legos (for hours.on.end)
5. a VERY loyal friend
6. always game for having fun, participating and is very competitive
7. talented and successful at most anything he tries (right now--especially soccer, piano and getting straigh As in 8th grade GPA 3.96)
8. he's a charmer
9. his smile, especially when he gets embarrassed or bashful or just happy to see you
10. very tender hearted and sensitive
11. wants to be/do EVERYTHING when he grows up (EMT, NASCAR driver, engineer, plane mechanic, auto mechanic, in the military...a missionary)
12. he works hard--but let me clarify--he's grumbles when we ask him even if we pay him--but when it's Grammy/Grampa, a neighbor or other family member...he's all over it
13. he wants to do the right thing
14. he's my first baby

I'm so grateful for the time we spend together, especially the past couple soccer seasons. On our drives to games (away & tournaments)--we chat...we sing...we argue...we analyze..and sometimes, we just drive. Landen is a very special boy and I cannot imagine my life without his spunk, energy, personality, tender heart and sweet, smiling face. I'm so proud of the young man he is becoming and cannot wait to see what life brings for him. I love you, little man.

Landen spent last week at Scout Camp at Bear Lake and had a BlAsT! There were only 5 other boys and 2 leaders (one of them being his FAV--Matt Curtis, who I'm so grateful for him always taking care of my kiddo)...OH--and plenty of fun. His favorite part was a ride in a helicopter...as part of his aviation merit badge. What the?
These are just some of my favorite pictures I happen to have on my phone:
Today, on his 14th birthday, he headed off at 7:30am to Youth Conference.
His first "dance" is tonight (sheesh, I remember MY first youth dance).
This boy has got dance moves and I hope he's not afraid to show 'em.
