We had a Valentine's Day Party at Grammy and Papa John's with the cousins.
There were cookies to be decorated, candy hearts to be found around the house, treats, delicious BBQ and veggies and a FHE on love for our ancestors.

I made these using my digi-scrappin' stuff...it's so much fun!! Meg passed hers out to her friends and teachers/students at pre-school. We mailed the one of the two of them to family and some friends.
HaPpY VaLeNtInE's DaY!!
It was fun to go out with my brothers and their boys. We had great seats and it was sooo noisy! Good thing Hubby sent us prepared with earplugs AND plenty of ear muffs for the little ones.

Farewell "Eat A Burger"

Eat A Burger has been a memorable place for our family and before we even became OUR family. My Hubby started taking the older kids there years (and I mean years) ago before we met for Daddy/Kid dates E.V.E.R.Y Saturday. No matter what was going on...it happened. When My Hubby and I started dating I was honored quite a lot of times to be "invited" with one of the girls on their special Saturday. Once we were married L was soon put into the rotation and had his own special Saturday with Daddy.

Eat A Burger has been a place where we celebrated birthdays, good grades, making a team, date night, when friends would come into town we "had" to take them there or just because. It was just a good place to eat. Their burgers were DE-LISH and their fries were DA-BOMB...don't get me started on the fry sauce!! The kids' favorite were the milkshakes--chocolate butterfinger or oreo.

When we heard EAB was closing their doors on 1/31...we had to go. The kids of course are used to me saying..."gotta take my camera"...this was sooooo blog worthy, right?? I think one of the kids even asked me IF I was taking my camera...see...they know. Funny enough, when we were there I was NOT the only one taking pictures...there were so many families posing for photos inside and outside the restaurant. People were even writing all over the walls leaving notes and their final mark. I left our farewell, too.

Thinking back to the sweet jesture of My Hubby wanting to have a special place for the kids and him to have time together, all the times we went there and the owner and workers there that we knew by name. When we said goodbye to the owner and My Hubby shook his hand...I teared. My Hubby and the owner were on a first name basis (kinda like Cheers). Lots of memories...and that's what's so sweet about it...there ARE lots of memories.

So...EAB...thanks for the memories. Oh...and we'll be back for the burgers, fries and fry sauce when they open a brand new restaurant at The District in April. Booo-yah!!
