Visiting the Bingham Canyon was put on our list of things to do this summer and now it can be checked off!! We've lived here for 10 years and had never visited it. I cannot believe we've waited this long to visit an amazing landmark as this. The Canyon was soooooo deep...the trucks looked itty bitty! Landen and Megan were totally amazed at the site, too. Our friends, the Bingham's, went along for this trip, too. It was a fun educational day.

Going as FAST as we could possibly go on the Alpine Coaster. So stinkin' fun! My FaVoRiTe parts were (and in no particular order, but we all know what ranked the top, right??):
- Going on the coaster My Hubby
- Reliving a hysterical ride with my SIL Janel...this time AlMoSt falling out
- Riding on the coaster with my sister and laughing HyStErIcAlLy (thanks sis for keeping your promise).
RESS "Minute to Win It" Family Game Night!! We all are quite competitive and so are the little ones. Everyone had fun playing games and gettin' "loot"!
Here is the "loot", instructions and sucking up M&Ms with a straw/mouth.
Vaseline and cottons balls...need I say more?
Sorting M&Ms by their color...not as easy as it looks!
Catching rings with a knife (no one was harmed, luckily).
Bouncing marbles into a cup...BOO YAH! I beat my lil' bro...and "shakin' what your mama gave ya"...ping pong balls in a kleenex box. We have great video of John shakin' it, but we'll save that for personal home viewing.
Doing what we did best...hanging around the pool and catchin' the sun rays!
Taking some time to cool off from the sun in the game room. Kids sure can go thru $20 buck of tokens in minutes.
And all this fun was created with these cute characters. RESS 2010.
Me and my awesome sister and brothers. Love them. I had so much fun spending time with them, their families and my parents. I truly loved every minute of it, watching and admiring them as spouses and parents. I felt so blessed and so grateful for the friendship I have with each of them and that we can spend time together with our families like we did. Grateful for parents to provide the opportunity to have a fun place to gather up at Westgate in Park City. It truly has been a highlight of our summer...we looked forward to it for months and keep thinking back to it. Fun memories.

Am I CrAzY??? (don't answer that). We ran another 5k on Monday for the Freedom Festival. My time wasn't as good as Saturday's. Bummer. There were soooooo many people and I let Megan run for a while along the course. It was uplifiting running through the streets on the parade route and all the people cheering the runners on.
Megan started to run and then stopped for a minute cause her number was getting wrinkled (she wore mine from Saturday to look like the other runners) and then when she started again she got tripped up and fell spread eagle flat on her face. So sad :) So we had to stop for a bit and get her scrapes cleaned off and settle her down. People were cheering for her and pointing and saying how cute that little girl is. I was so proud of her.

We went to a bbq with some friends and fireworks at Jordan HS. I love watchings the kids running around with their glow sticks and all the creative things they make out of them. It's fun to see the parents get into it, too. Someone always has fireworks, snacks, drinks and games and it's just a good 'ol time hanging out. This year the weather was beautiful, bit chilly. Soooo good to be with great friends.
We started our 4th of July Celebrations on Saturday participating in the Sandy City 5k. It was a great way to start the holiday and festivities so we could have a good excuse for eating all the yummy food! The kids were cozy in their stroller get-ups, but not fully awake. Dustin and Janel, the star athletes, took of for race of 1st place (ha ha). Gary. Kiera and I ran together. He was a great motivator and kept Kiera and I going. We ran and then walked at different points along the route. We all made it! My time was 39:35. Not my PR...but a time to beat on MoNdAy!! Yes, we signed up for another 5k for the Provo Freedom Festival (more details to follow).
