Beautiful weekend

We had a great weekend and the weather was beautiful! It felt to good to be outside sitting in our "soccer chairs" in the warm sun watching Landen's soccer game.

Megan loves watching brother play. She yells "ball" and "go" and claps her hands and gets so excited (I wonder who she gets that from???) It's so fun watching Landen play (except when he was playing goaly and had to take on an opponent in the penalty box because of a hand ball...I just couldn't watch!)

Meg's new swing

Megan got this swing for her 1st birthday, but we just barely were able to hang it in the tree. We had beautiful 80 degree weather today. Meg loves her swing and we had a tough time getting her out. Sorry about the way the video is, just tilt your head to the left and enjoy (I'm still learning how to use my camera, sorry!) Listen to her laughs and giggles...but ignore my nagging voice.

Updates on Megan

Megan is getting so big and everyday she is doing more and more. Toys, words, and everyday "stuff" that she couldn't figure out weeks/months ago...she's "mastering". We think she is the cutest and funniest girl in the whole wide world. We love our Megan!

Fun...

Ok, so I don't know what this thing is even called so I asked Gary...he says...kid carrier; kid Trailer; Princess puller...whatever it's called...it's going to FUN, FUN, FUN this spring/summer. It attachs to my bike or is a big ol' stroller. Landen has it all figured out and took great care of Megan strapping her in.

This week has been full with the usual activities of scouts, soccer, American Idol, household chores and hanging out with the kids. But nothing exciting to "blog" about. I was blog-stalking and found this on my friends blog (she found it while she was blog-stalking). I feel the same way.

Megan has got some hulla hips! When she hears music...she loves to "shake it". But, you have to be "special" to see her do it. She likes to tease Grammy and will only do it when Grammy isn't looking. So Grammy...this is dedicated to you...

Megan and her cousin Hannah

Megan's little cousin Hannah and her Mom, Sabrina (Gary's neice) stopped by on Saturday to say hello. Megan was sooooo excited to see Hannah. She loves to sit in Hannah's baby carseat and play with her toys. Meg was so sweet to her (shoving things in her face, poking her eye out...trying to be gentle).

Congratulations Landen!!

Landen made the AYSO Under 10 Boys Summer Select team!! We are so proud of him. He's had tryouts the past 2 Saturdays. He worked hard and did awesome. There were about 16-17 boys that tried out and 10 were selected.

Once the regular soccer season ends (2nd weekend in May). Then he will start with 2 practices a week for tournaments every weekend in June. So...pack the chairs, umbrella, water bottles, snacks and fill up the gas tank...it's SOCCER TIME! Way to go Landen we are sooooo proud of you! (wiping the happy tear).

Just the facts...

So...haven't blogged for a couple of days. Had a wonderful weekend watching General Conference. I love this time of year when you feel so uplifted and renewed. I enjoyed all the testimonies about our new Prophert Thomas S. Monson and I too felt a strong confirmation that he IS our Prophet of these latter-days.

While watching conference I finished some projects. I will post one of them later as I'm so proud of it.

I was telling Gary that I need to show him our family blog. He asked "what's a blog". I informed him it was a "place to brag about the kids, for me to vent and share things that happen". And do you know what his comment was..."Oh, like a never-ending Christmas letter?". I am still laughing as I type this because I thought it was soooo funny!

I love checking out everyone's blog...and their friends' blogs...and their friends' blogs...I go quite a few "generations". There are some darling backgrounds, links and pictures. It's so fun! So...thanks for sharing with US!

So here's a spot to "just add a comment". I will try to figure out how to keep it at the top of my posts so it can be a "drop" place for notes or comments about anything on my blog. What do you think of the new layout? Too busy? How about them pictures? Cute family ey? I LuV them! Aren't the "tickers" cool?

I've added some of my favorite links. I want to tell you about one in particular and why it's there. It's "Girlfriends Getaway". I have no idea where I heard about it...but I check out the site every once in a while to see how camp was last year and what's planned for the next year. It sound like ToTaL FuN and I REALLY want to go...but want to go with a girlfriend(s).

In 2006 I was registered to go...by myself...and then found out I was pregnant (with Megan) and cancelled. Someday I'll go. Lisa and Rachel...are you up for it? It's the weekend before school starts.
