Megan's 1st Haircut

Yes folks...I finally did it...I cut off "the mullet". Gary was not too happy about it. He didn't want it cut and was being stubborn and saying "no" just to say "no". So, as Megan played with Kirbie's brush standing the in the doorway of the bathroom in the hallway on Saturday morning...I snagged the scissors, gently put the "mullet" between my fingers and SNIP! It looks sooooo cute. She looks like a big girl and I did a mighty fine job too. The hair is now in a zip lock baggie...I'm sure some day it will get added to her baby book. Landen says it looks like an "A-line". So here's the new "do"...

Happy 40th Birthday Rachel!!!

Does AnYoNe recognize this house? Something happened in the middle of the night...there's 40 pink balloons EVERYWHERE! Ha ha ha...Lisa and I had soooo much fun last night decorating...we felt like teenagers again...giggeling...watching the shadows in the house move around and hoping no one would catch us in the act. A couple of times we thought we were caught and hid behind the house and car...but we were safe. We had the darndest time untangeling the balloons and forks. Cousin Claire's 1st Birthday Party

Claire turned 1! We had a fun birthday party for Claire at her daddy's rec center in American Fork with pizza and cake. Her mommy gave everyone cute party bags, too. Thanks Derric & Cassie!! The cousins got to run around on all the gymnastics equipment and play with each other. It was great fun. Happy Birthday Claire!!!

Landen is a soccer stud

Landen is a soccer stud! Spring soccer started last Saturday. I have to say...even though I'm his Mom...he's really good at soccer. I think it's because he's soooooo competitive. Landen wants to win at EVERYTHING. He wants to be the first done (at school), the first to score a goal, the first down the field or court...he runs really fast!

Landen was approached last week after the game by two coaches.

One asked him if he'd come to the spring "keeper clinic" so he could help him be a better goal keeper. Landen loves to play goaly. I myself...it freaks me out! He's the last guy that the ball can get passed...and if it gets passed him...he thinks it's his fault...even though there are plenty of defenders of the field it had to get passed before it got to him. He's got an amazing drop kick and is not afraid to tackle ball when the ball is right in the middle of the other players.

The other coached asked Landen if he was interested in trying out for the Summer Select under 10 boys teams...cause HE'S going to be the coach. He's watched Landen play and said that if he came out for tryouts...he'd make the team. It's a team that plays during the summer in tournaments.

Megan's 1st Easter Egg Hunt

Megan had her first Easter Egg hunt on Friday. My friends Lisa & Rachel put the word out to the neighborhood friends, collected plastic eggs and candy. They are so clever and creative. That's why they're my friends...I love them!! It was organized by age groups and everything. I'm so grateful to have friends that are so thoughtful and think of fun things to do to get all the kids together.

Princess on Ice

Wednesday night the 12th we went to Disney's Princess on Ice. Me, Landen, my mom (Michele), nephew (Daxton), Kirbie, Britton (Kirbie's friend), Lisa (my dear friend) and Rachel (my other dear friend)...the birthday girl. We had so much fun. I bought tiara's from Wal-Mart that flashed. The evening started out with dinner at Cafe Rio and off to downtown. The show was so sweet and I felt like a little girl again. Tramatic memories of being so disappointed that "I" wasn't chosen to be in the special boat and go out on the ice all came flooding back. Sad ey? It was so cute seeing all the little girls in their princess dresses and "clompity clomp" shoes.

My own little Megan didn't get to go to the ball. She stayed home with Daddy...her prince and hung out.
