Grammy and Papa J finally have their two horses livin' on their own property...Buck and Arrow. It's always a highlight for the kids to ride them. Once M gets on one of them...there's no gettin' her off. She LOVES riding the horses and seems to be a natural...L is, too. The kids definitely get it from their Grammy. K is gettin' pretty confident on the horses and wants Grammy to teach her this summer.

I'm a big girl now...
Friday I decided it was time for M to be "out of the crib" and it be converted to the "big girl bed". Hubby immediately obliged and started unassembling and doing the "transition". Why is it that with a project comes extreme FRUSTRATION?? You hate to make a suggestion cause heaven for bid you're RIGHT. Like...I think that piece goes on the other side. FINALLY..."he figured it out himself"...it went on the other side. M loves her big girl bed and so far has stayed in it after being tucked in. Now if we can just work on "the passie".

A what?
My Mom has ALWAYS wanted a CHAINSAW...yes...a CHAINSAW. She asks for one all the time...birthday...Christmas...and she even mentioned it again last Sunday at family dinner. During the conversation and jokes about getting her one it was pretty much decided that it would NOT be a good idea. But during the week as I contemplated that PERFECT gift for my Mom to show her how much we love and appreciate her...I kept thinking of a CHAINSAW...not flowers...not lotion...or a massage...a CHAINSAW!!!
So I emailed the siblings and said hey...let's do it...she's always wanted it...and she totally won't expect it.
So...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM! Thanks for being a great Mom...for always loving and supporting us...and ALWAYS being there. We love you!

Arrow of Light
L received his Arrow of Light. He and another boy were receiving it at the same time and the had a "connection" with someone who does a great program. So we rode on their coat tails and it was a very special ceremony for the boys. L still brings up different things the Akela said from the presentation...so I know it meant a lot to him and had a great impact on him. Congratulations L!!! We're so proud of you...so when are you gonna get your Eagle? LOL
